By Faith – Galatians 2:20
2019 Summer Camp Theme - By Faith
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Gal 2:20
Faith in Christ. You’ve got it, but being a Christian can seem like a tricky thing. Before you know it, sleeping in rather than going to church sounds good. When others challenge Christianity, it can be easy to shy away from talking about Jesus. And a lot of the time, we just walk on by when we see someone in need. Sometimes, it seems like maybe we should just give up this Christianity thing. But here’s where this wonderful gift from God, faith, kicks in. By Faith we receive the forgiveness won for us on the cross by Jesus and are eager to hear God’s Word. By Faith, we confess and proclaim Jesus as our savior from sin, even when the world around us denies Him. By Faith, we act in love and service to those around us, showing our neighbors the same love the Father has shown to us! By Faith, God sustains us through His Word and forgiveness, even in our darkest moments, even when we feel like giving up.
