Our Mission and Vision

Leveraging a best-in-class outdoor recreational and camping environment, Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca exists to promote and provide Christ-centered education, recreation, and inspiration for individuals and groups of all ages. Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca offers year-round, Christ-centered programs that support the ministries of local congregations, nurture the faith of individuals and families, and motivate people toward congregational involvement and living in their God-given vocations.

  • Alec Deppe
    Alec Deppe Director of Programs and Retreats

    Alec Deppe joined Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca in December of 2022. He has been involved in camp life at various camps throughout his life. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Leisure, Youth, and Human Services from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 2021. He is originally from Ankeny, Iowa. He moved to Cedar Falls for college and joined the campus ministry, where he met his wife April Deppe (Armbrecht). They moved to Waverly, Iowa in March of 2022 and welcomed their first child in December 2022!

    As Director of Programs and Retreats,  Alec works to ensure that we have a great summer program and that our retreat needs are met.

  • Dylan Lampe
    Dylan Lampe Interim Camp Director

    Dylan Lampe  began as the Camp’s full-time Site Manager in January of 2020. He previously worked on the summer staff during the summers of 2018 and 2019, and was a camper for several years. Dylan graduated from Iowa State in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Animal Ecology. In January 2020, he joined Io-Dis-E-Ca’s staff as the site manager. Dylan also met his wife, Abby Lampe (Scheel), during his first summer on staff! They live on camp with their daughter. Dylan became the Interim Camp Director in January 2024.

    As Interim Camp Director, Dylan is responsible for the maintenance and development of Camp’s land and facilities, as well as managing the finances and supervising all Camp activities.

  • Carolyn Zimmerman
    Carolyn Zimmerman Office Administrator

    Carolyn Zimmerman joined Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca in October of 2023. As Office Administrator, Carolyn serves as our registrar for summer camp and deals with all sorts of communications that go in and out of Camp. She also helps to set up retreats and does invoicing for groups.
